Question

Audio software - silence on my laptop

Dec 24, 2012 7:53PM PST

I have Audacity downloaded on my PC (XP) and it works a dream. But ..... absolute silence on my Windows 7 laptop, I just can't get any signal. When "saving", the input level is zero, even when I push all levels (input and output) to maximum (see attachment). Help!!!
PS: Exactly the same with Free Sound Recorder - no problems on my PC(XP) but no movement on the laptop!

I can play my mp3 files on the laptop, just saving is impossible.
