I have a dell inspiron e1505 that runs vistahome premium32 and the audio service is disabled. I need specific instructions to turn it back on.

"did a system restore, back to the point where it worked and that seems to have fixed it. I have lost a few IE and other changes, but nothing significant."

That seems to be the usual fix.
