If the usual fixes do not work for you, I find the old analog cable from headphone output to aux in to fix this issue.
Sorry, I'll stop here as I must not repeat all that has been written.
I am having difficulty changing from XP to Vista and utilizing wave editing software. Previously I have used Audacity for my XP without any glitches. However, no matter what I try to update drivers etc. as they have listed on their website, I cannot get Audacity to cooperate with Vista. I am running Vista Home Premium SP-1 (32 bit) The problem I am also having is being able to capture Streaming Audio from internet sources through my sound card (chipset) The computer I have is an HP G60-120US with a "Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221" Sound Driver and also an NVIDIA HDMI Audio driver. I was talking to HP to determine if I needed something more substantial than the "chipsets" on this computer, or if I needed something with a dedicated sound card. They were hesitant to answer. Is my concern with the hardware (computer/ chipset) or with the Software ()Vista/ Audacity? Can anyone get be up and running?
