I will send your thoughts up to our marketing division.
At this time, I don't have an explanation.

I've read some other posts about audio passthough, and I'd like to make a plea for supporting some level of proper 5.1 audio passthrough on the A750.
Without passing through multichannel sound, then having multiple HDMI ports on the TV is silly - if I'm going to have to connect my BluRay player etc. to my stereo and switch there in order to get 5.1 sound, then what is the point of more than one HDMI connection between the stereo (which is doing the switching) and the TV?
I realize that if the media source is sending 7.1 linear PCM, the TV's processor may not have enough power to transcode the audio into Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 for the optical link, but if the device is sending Dolby 5.1 over the link, then why not just pass the stream over to the optical link?
