Always supply.

1. Full model numbers.
2. How connected.

Receiver setup can be onerous if the DVD player is COMPOSITE ONLY. Receivers today want HDMI so if this is an old DVD player we're usually back into the manual on how to setup such.

The receiver was not found with that model number. So I'm guessing

Samsung has hundreds of smart TVs. So why not put the video to the Samsung RCA jack and since you have sound on the receiver, leave that as is. does noted the RCA component inputs. But there is never a mention for COMPOSITE (single RCA video) support.

compatible only with 480i or 576i resolution.
When you connect to the COMPONENT VIDEO
IN jacks, set the output resolution of the player to
480i or 576i. Select interlace if there is no option
for 480i, etc. If your player does not support 480i
or 576i output, use the VIDEO IN jack"

Never a mention of the old single Composite system so if you have this, skip the video in the receiver and run that to the TV.
