The audio processing for stereo output is limited. Makers do not consider this to be a problem.
If you want high end audio you get a Receiver where all this happens.
HI, i am using a LG 47LW45000 TV set together with a home theater LG BH9520TW. The TV set has just one HDMI port (not ARC), the sound bar included in the blue ray player has the HDMI out to TV port, two other HDMI ports, and a optical port IN.
When connecting TV and home theather through the HDMI i cannot get the audio into the home theather speakers. I think it is because the HDMI port of the TV set is not ARC. So i tried to connect the audio to the optical port (bought the optical cable yesterday). I connect the HDMI out to TV to the HDMI IN of the TV set and the optical cable to the optical port of the TV OUT and optical port of the home theater IN.
I thought it is the right way of connecting, but i am not at all an expert!!
What happened is that i cannot change the audio settings in the TV set because i get the nasty warning message: "Audio Menu cannot be set during wired headset mode". I never plugged any headset in the TV set or home theater.
I searched in this AVS forum and got at this URL (sorry i am new so i cannot post any link) to realize that several people in the past had exactly the same problem!!
Totally annoying was to realize that NOBODY in that chat could find the solution.
Can somebody suggest how can i get rid of that nasty blocking thing, and manage to set my audio correctly?
Thanks a lot. Best from Asuncion Paraguay.
