audio file not visible

Hi-I am having trouble with with my music file. In explorer, when I right-click and for pop-up menu and click on properties, the folder contains more than 1 music file but not visible, as 'read only'. When click on 'Advance ...', 'for fast search...' is checked. I tried all I could to see the file for copy and create play list. WMP also don't see those files. In this way, more than 500 music files mostly MP3 are becoming useless. I transferred to C:\\My Documents\My Music, no change. On the MP3 player, it plays all of them, but not on the computer. Any help? Thanks in advance.
