Audio Doesn't Synch with Picture on HD Programs

by cal1106 / February 1, 2009 1:02 AM PST

I have a new Sony Bravia LCD HDTV (32") and have noticed on certain programs broadcast on my cable's HD stations, people start to speak before the sound is broadcast. It's very slight but annoying. Is this an issue that my cable company needs to address? The cable company removed my old Scientific Atlanta box and replaced it with a new HD box so I can access the HD channels. Any advice would be appreciated.

with my Dish HD setup. Seems to be in the encryption and compression they all use. When "they all" figure it out maybe it'll get better.

I have four Dish HD receivers connected to four HD TVs (2 different brands). Happens on all of them so the problem is not me or my equipment.

Or yours.
