audio connectioin

dear sir
thanks for your effort to solve my issue.
Unfortunately I was unable to download the attachment.
but I am sure as per my TV and manual which i recd along with TV shows only the following jacks.

1-power cord socket
2-hdmi in input 1 hdmi dvi 2 hdmi 3
3-rgb input
4-rs232c in port
5-audio/video input
6-rgb/dvi audio input
7- component input
8-Av output
connect second tv or monitor to the av out socket on the tv
variable audio output
connect an external amplifier or add a subwoofer to your surround sound system

(the above four lines are appearing in the owners manual- but on the back of tv it shows
only one variable audio output)

9-antenna input
10-usb in input

i have connected tv: from set top box to tv via hdmi cable and for audio i have used rfcable
(red and white) from set top box to receiver-means analog stereo only)
i have digital optical connection (out) in set top box but i dont think it is usefull because surround is in tv only)

please advise whether ican do something using this AUDIO VARIABLE OUT of TV

I saw no mention of the analog output being variable in the slim manuals I found.

Maybe it's one of those fixed level outputs. For that you use the sound systems volume control. If you want to get a single remote, consider the Logitech Harmony Hub.

That's partially why I noted the Harmony Hub.
