General discussion

audio and video don't match up

Aug 25, 2007 12:32PM PDT

I have a video I downloaded from the internet but the audio and video are off by about 2 seconds and it is really frustrating. I tried downloading some AVI editors but I couldn't get any of them to just shift the audio back 2 seconds or the video forward to seconds so they would match up. Does anyone know how to do this or know of a free program to do this that won't put writing in the middle of the fixed video?

Just a mention about VIRTUAL DUB has a way to shift the timing. I decline to write how to use this software but note it can do such a shift.

Any Video Converter may work!

I use a program called Any Video converter and it can convert videos between popular formats. This program can force the video and audio to be synchronized. You may have a try.

ps. in the program, you can choose Default in A/V sync option.

I guess those that don't explore the menus could miss it.
