Attn members: Note from AVG in regards to latest release

The AVG team asked me to post this on their behalf, please be advised:

Hello AVG users,

we regret to inform you that virus database update 271.1.1/3292 (432/3292) released 12/2/2010 12:53 AM CET requested computer restart at Windows 7 64bit with inability to start the system again with error (or similar):

STOP: c0000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this unpleasant situation.

If you have met this situation, we would like to ask you to check this announcement post at AVG Free Forum and follow described steps to fix the situation. You can also use modified AVG Rescue CD for USB medium described at AVG Free FAQ 4080, which contains automatic solution, when affected computer is booted from it.

Current AVG virus database updates are fully functional again.
