Attention Members: User names will be permanent very soon!

Just an FYI:

We will be taking away the ability for members to edit their forum user names. So if you don't like what you have now, ya betta change it, before it is permanent.

Why the decision, because we are the last site on the planet that allows changing of user names. Grin But seriously, it's really to avoid confusion of who's who.

Thanks!

Lee, on behalf of my SE posting colleagues,

I apologize for the uncharacteristically tepid responses. We'll come up with some flames any minute now. Happy

Names can still be changed by re-registering.

What is there to prevent that ? The account with the original name will then lay dormant on the forum servers ---for how long ?
