Resolved Question

Attempting to move and utilize an unfamiliar file suffix

Feb 12, 2016 8:36AM PST

I have a program called "Password Agent" on a thumb drive, taken from PC #1, that I've put in the File Explorer of PC #2. I want to install the program on PC #2, but the file has a .pwa suffix, ( which is new to me, but I'm assuming it means "Pass" "Word" "Agent".

That said, is there a procedure that will allow me to install my program successfully, without loss to it's already established contents? BTW, I would like to ask a stupid question while I'm logged at the newbie forum, if I might. How does one wipe a thumb drive clean? I think I've heard it called "formatting" the drive?? Thank you for any answers, and / or fingers pointing me in the right direction.

If the extension is .pwa, it's not a program. And certainly not a setup program. So just find the setup program that you used on PC#1 and run that to install it.

No need to format a thumb drive, usually. Just delete all contents and it will be as new.
