Attaching Low Res JPEG files to text

Sep 27, 2005 3:40PM PDT

Recently tried to attach a low res jpeg file to text using Adelphia internet. The file was bounced back to my desktop. What am I doing wrong? Any special way to attach images into text using Adelphia? Used to work with AOL.
Should I switch to Thunderbird to do this?
I have a new G-mail account also. Use Google to do this?
Wonder if others have the same problem attaching images to text? There has to be a way.

I happen to like this because the image is instantly read and no need to download by the recipient.

Thanks for your help,

-Kevin Smith

I use Thunderbird with Gmail
Sep 27, 2005 7:49PM PDT

I use Thunderbird with Gmail.

Go to https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fgmail.google.com%2Fgmail%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl&hl=en

and login to the web server

click on settings

click on forwarding and POP

click on Configuration instructions

click on Mozilla 1.7 and follow the instructions fully. Make special attention at the bottom of the page about the port number change and enabling pop.

Then when you use Mozilla Thunderbird you can use it for your email account.
Then to make a new email click on write

type your little message in the body of the letter,
to add a picture click on the arrow between the balloons and the smilies face
click on image, find the picture you want to send, it will ask you if you want to send alternative text. You can or cannot(it's up to you)

you can also highlight it and center it, or anything else you want to do with it. Even put a url attached to it.
