** ATT is using the same old dirty Long distance trick **

Jan 4, 2009 5:22AM PST

AT&T sales called me saying I was qualified and they can enroll me in Business Elite (6 Mbps) with the same rate of $44.99/month we used to pay for years (att.com currently published rate is $40/month) from Business Pro (3 Mbps downstream) and without contract term. The first month is right. The second month my rate was increased to $69.99 with 2 years contract. Even worse, our speed is still in the 3 Mbps range. Anybody has similar experience? Any suggestion to get over this?

Call'em and pitch a fit. Or read the fine print?

I am not a law wizard but is it true that the accuse has the burden of proof? But check the fine print first to be sure. Good luck.
