ATI Radeon 9200 VIVO- model number GV-R92128VH

Dec 27, 2004 2:25AM PST

I have tried to use my PC to capture TV but all I got was an error message: "The TV player failed to intialize the video- check the Windows Device Manager to ensure that the correct video driver has been installed and is working properly before attempting to start TV".
My PC configuration is as follows:
Pentium 4 2.8GHz with 512MB cache
512MB of Ram (256x2)
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB DDR AGP 8X VIVO model number GV-R92128VH manufactured by Gigabyte.
Sony CD writer 52X-32X-52X
Samsung HDD 20GB
Samsung Syncmaster 550s 15" monitor.

My PC runs on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 installed.

Needless to say I have all the proper connections in place and I have recently downloaded the following software for the graphics card:
ATI's multimedia centre download: mmc-9-02-0-0
and the following driver: wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-062-040929a-018115c

Thank you so much for your help.

You went to ATI's website, but the board you have isn't manufactered by ATI, it is made by Giga-Byte, who use the ATI chipset.
(Please correct me if I am wrong.)

If you are still having display poblems, use Giga-Bytes drivers. Since they made the board, I would think that they would have the best driver. The chip manufacturer only is aware of a portion of the board, the video chip(s).
