If you are wanting to watch tv on your pc, you are going to have to get a videocard with a tuner built in. If I am not mistaken, the ATI card that has that is the All-In-Wonder series of cards. In fact, I believe there is a 9600 version out there. In fact, here it is:

The all in wonder series of cards have gotten really great reviews in online and print articles, so, as far as I know, you can't go wrong there. If you want a slightly cheaper setup, you can look into an inexpensive PCI based TV tuner card to augment any video card that doesn't have tuning capability (not to mention, you will still have it when you upgrade your video card next).
I personally have used Nvidia since I have known what video cards were, but that is just because of not being able to upgrade very often. However, as far as I know, there are no Nvidia cards of that generation with tv tuning capabilities.
I am not sure what is ment by the v11 and zt 9600xt designations. Whatever it is, it is probably a manufacturer-specific designation meant to confuse customers into buying their ''superior'' cards. But again, I am unsure.
I?m considering an ATI 9600XT, to replace my 100 yr old ATI (Rage) All In Wonder. A couple of questions if someone can hclp an old dummy.
1. Is this the best card for the money? I like ATI from my old card, but. . .
Mostly I?m looking for the TV tuner on my monitor, but also to send the PCs signal to my TV, both to work on the computer and to watch video on my TV. I further would like to set some DVR functions on my PC.
2. Assuming the ATI is best, I see offers for ?v11, also for ZT 9600xt cards. Whatif an is the difference.
