ATF leaking

My 1998 grand cheroke laredo leaking ATF (gear oil) at the gear converter underneath says a motor mechanic and that i need to buy another converter.

But the leaking is just at the container (can) btw the engine oil container and the gear oil container underneath. Guaging the ATF and drive for 1 hrs empty the ATF container.
Pls, Anybody with a way forward.
