AT&T and HD-TV

by Stelshadow / June 27, 2006 11:31 PM PDT

I agree with Molly that AT&T's retroactive changes to their privacy policy are reprehensible. That being said, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a telecom company that -wouldn't- roll over and hand your data to the government; subpoena or no subpoena. AT&T's just telling you about it.

I also have to agree with y'all on HDTV and HD-DVD/Blu-Ray. I don't think it's worth thousands of dollars of equipment for picture quality that's incrementally better than the DVDs I have now.

As for the smal-TV thing; I think Tom's right. I certainly don't want a massive telvision dominating my living room. My 27-inch TV is fine for my Netflix rentals and my kids' Sesame Street viewings; does anyone really want a five-foot tall Elmo screeching at them? Wink

Love the podcast!
