Dec 11, 2014 3:30AM PST

hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong category, what i read on it says the TPU switch is to overclock when you dont have the knowledge to do it manually,i have a 4790k with a stock cooler(it runs cool even gaming it goes no higher than 115 FH),my first question is:

if i have TPU on do i need a new cooler?

and do i really need to use the TPU switch?

ty all in advance, just trying to get some input

1. You won't know until you try it.

2. I don't overclock. I'm the boring stable type.
3. Why isn't the maker answering questions like this? Did they just dump a box on your porch and run?

ROFL i know it sounds funny,i just want to make sure being i heard the switch is good from many, then useless from others, not giving detailed explanations why.Maybe the people that said the switch is not worth it are pros at knowing how to overclock manually and they can get better performance than the switch(so I've read)and the people saying its great just downloaded hangman from their tape drive lol,im just throwing it out there if its gonna make a boost good enough to deal with temps, and like i said i have a stock cooler, only reason why....i do thank you for the reply....maybe ill just have a case of the f*** its and just do it,see what happens

Overclocking does tend to

Either reduce life span or in very bad setups, fry parts. Overclocking is the uncharted area that you shouldn't find exact answers. Each box, part, CPU, GPU, RAM and such will react differently.
