ASUS Vivobook S200 - Sonicmaster and win 8.1?

Hi all,

I have the above model which shipped with win 8 originally. the sonic master function worked fine.

I took the free option to upgrade to win 8.1

now the sonic master sound is completely gone.

I cannot find anything online about this.
all windows sound drivers are up to date.

I am a newbie to dealing with drivers.... but sonic master is baffling me a little.

perhaps sonic master doesn't work with win 8.1? or I need to update it somehow? any advice appreciated!

Restore the machine to the factory load until you have time to call it in and see if they support Windows 8.1 yet. These updates are still in the Microsoft stone age. That is folk are expected to know to check with the maker for drivers and other advice first. I'm not Asus but after working with Windows for a few decades, I can write that not much has changed.
