Asus VH242 HDTV connection problem

Feb 27, 2009 5:34AM PST

I just bought an VH242H LCD monitor from newegg.com. Many reviewers talked about using their monitor with HD cable boxs. I have a MotorolaDCT6416 III HD DVR cable box I got form Cox Cable. I cannot get a signal on the monitor through the HDMI input. I tried an HDMI to DVI connector and recieved nothing. Supposedly the monitor has HDCP supoport and is 1080p. I checked the HDMI cable on another HDTV and it is fine and the monitor is working fine with my computer through DVi. The cable box is also working with my SDTV set. Can anyone help me with this situtation?

(NT) Have you try connecting a dvd player to the monitor?
