Question

Asus ux32ln fails waking up from sleep

Sep 18, 2015 2:24AM PDT

I've bought a UX32ln one year ago.
For the first few months the laptop was capable of sleeping and waking up, now can only go to sleep but never wake up.
I've made sure the power options are correctly set up. So it's not this.
There's no password required at waking up.
Hibernation is disable because i use SSD (i turned it on, but the same results)
Anyone who might know what the problem could be?

Another unrelated problem is the HDMI, it doesn't transmit audio signal (the HDMI sound is always inactive in playback devices)

Confusing.

If it never wakes from sleep then wouldn't it be dead in need of repair? That is I have a laptop that doesn't wake when the lid opens, The power button tap brings it back.

The laptop starts over, like it never slept. Doesn't matter what key I press (same goes for the lid)
Only hibernations works. But it's not a choice for my SSD

The usual is something not stock

I can't tell how the OS differs from the supplied OS. Laptops are unforgiving in drivers so take one driver from Microsoft and this can happen. It's a shame but if I can't fix it with Windows 8's Refresh this PC I factory restore.
