Asus T100TA starts, but won't go to windows

Feb 25, 2015 4:57AM PST

I turned on my ASUS transformer book, logged on, and for some reason it didn't go to the start screen. Instead, i was stuck at a blue screen with a wifi and easy access button. The power button does nothing, and it eventually went black after playing an error message sound. The white light near my webcam is on, but my screen has nothing other than my mouse pointer. This either leads to being hacked with a virus, or my pc just being uncooperative? Anyone have an idea of what the &%$# is going on? Or is it just acting up like it usually does.

Remember it's just like other Windows machines.

The OS can be hijacked, corrupted and more. Same old story. You never opt out of backups and then try Windows and the maker's repair methods. Try REFRESH first. Here's an article on that.

Got it working
Feb 25, 2015 5:04AM PST

apparently holding it down for more than 4 seconds did the trick, now it's working normally. But it did drain the battery quite a bit. Strange... even though there still a chance that my webcam got jacked, but that's a different issue.
