Asus problem

Hello,
I have an Asus Eee PC 1001PX that will work off of the battery, but when it's plugged in with the ac adapter it does not charge. Checked the dc jack and it does not appear to be loose. Also attempted to reheat the solder to no avail

What is this reheat the solder comment?

Often I find the board is damaged so we swap the board and it's fixed.
