So I had a ASUS B85M-E motherboard and I had plugged in a system speaker in it that fell on the floor and I put it to my metal arms on my desk thinking it would de static it but I was not clearly thinking at the time. But I didn't from what I remember didn't have the entire system turned off sense I was just going to screw it a but lose than what it was. I am wondering if it had messed anything up. When this happened I saw my fan try to turn on but what I think the motherboard shut it off before it messed something else up. And after that I saw smoke come from the motherboard around the coin socket and PCI place and it smelt like rubber. I don't know if the motherboard had messed anything else sense I kept trying a couple times turing it on because of panic. So I left it in for half a day and then unplugged everything. I just need to know if my motherboard had messed my hard drive, fans, case connections, ram, processor. I didn't have a graphics card so thats out of the way. So if you have any info if it did or not that would be greatly appreciated.
