1. Power down. Unplug ALL USB connections and let's extend this to all but the power connection. Try again.
2. If item 1 fails, power down, remove the charger, the battery then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Release, slip in the battery, apply power and test.
If this doesn't bring the machine up to the point the Asus splash screen doesn't show then it's a failed laptop and needs repair.
My son was trying to do a Windows (10) update last night and his screen went black in the middle of the update and now he has no picture at all. The laptop powers on, the keyboard and mouse light up, but the screen stays black. Please help. He is a hardcore gamer and this laptop is barely a year old and he should not be having this problem. Any help would be appreciated because I cannot afford a new laptop. Thanks!!
