Asus G72GX wireless adapter

Hi every body
I have a problem with my wireless Atheros AR928X Adapter. My Computer can't find my D-Link 2gb Router
Have tried every thing uninstall to pulling all security down
It was working fine until I pressed the adapter shut off on the Keyboard
now I can't restart it (message no connection available)
The router seems to be doing its job cause my other Computer on the same network works fine

Did you press that key again to re-enable the adapter?

absolutely same results I'm frustrated beyond words been at this for two days
