Asus Express Gate personal info/HDD info

Hello, I am a user of a asus ntb N53Jn.
I have few Qs : 1. The Asus N53Jn has only 1HDD am I right? (the second can go only when I remove the ODD and put another in). Thanks.
my second Q is about personal data storage. I know that this notebook(NTB) does have the Asus Express Gate. Does This asus express gate have some own storage where it puts my files,photos? Or it can only read files from HDD or external storage(uSB stick,etc.?) I never used it. So if I remove my Hard Drive then the asus express gate looses my personal data too? I sold my computer and now I am afraid...Does it still store some of my personal data even if I removed my Hard Drive and never used Expres gate ? I hope without my permission it doesnt store data... thanks a lot. Wish you a nice day.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-N53JN.37468.0.html shows more than a few models in that series so here's my take on makers that don't answer questions. It's pretty bad so don't finish this paragraph if you take offense easily. I think makers that don't answer questions don't deserve the sale (same for the seller.)

I'd like to look into this but it's a series, not the exact model.

but maybe we didnt understood.
I had a NTB N53JN.
I sold it, before sale I removed my HDD with my data.
My Q is does that express gate store some of my personal datas? Pictures? Documents? or it just takes from my HDD (or optionally if I would have there some USB stick).
Now that I sold it I am afraid about my personal data...If I removed my HDD , are there still some of my personal datas? In express gate or anywhere else? Thanks. I tried booting it ofc it said that no bootable device, because I removed my HDD. But didnt check the express gate. Please can you answer me? thanks

I'm on travel so I can't see if Express Gate works without the HDD. The last time I had a laptop with something like that, it was on the HDD.

Why didn't you check the express gate? You're there and I'm on travel.

I read a bit more on Express Gate and the answer I get is no. It does not do that.

I forgot to check it before,because i never user that stupid express gate Sad and i didnt think about it when i sold just now i figured it out that it exists.
Where dis you please read about it? Becasse i couldnt find anything on the ney about it that how does it work and so on.
So please can it store some od my files or it just reads whats on HDD and when I remove the hdd then my datas are all lost from the express gate? I am not skilled very well with computers. Thanks

I could not confirm where Express Gate is or if you can use the laptop without any HDD.

That said I do travel with my trusty Tails OS USB stick and the other stick is another Linux with a file system so that can have local storage.

-> I found NO INDICATION Express Gate will siphon or copy your personal data at any time.

Express Gate should be on 512MB NAND Flash chip (its used as ROM,but its a Flash just for update purposes). Thats what i know... or its in some separate part od HDD. Maybe depends on model type.
I hope that express gate doeant atore any of my photos or documents Sad i removed the hdd and thought that its ok. Its ok? Because now i cannot sleep like 3 days and asus is not answering my qs Sad

N53JN-SX029V express gate on google does not find this feature on that laptop.

It does have express gate. Its the button on the oposite side of the pwr button.
Its located on left side.
I am so afraid that it stored some of my personal files without my permission and i loose my job Sad but i took out my drive.
Asus is ignoring me

That Express Gate does anything to copy/access your files behind your back.

I hope i can sleep well and that express gate only reads those files and cannot store it somewhere inside itselfs. I hope Asus will someday answer my emails...or next week i will call them.
