Associates at work on same network trying to break in

Sep 17, 2017 11:20PM PDT

I have caught one employee trying to get my tablet to switch wifi connection from his phone McAfee mobile security alerts me of this machine address. But my concern is other employees not aware of his deceptive practices.

Something sounds off here. Since about Windows 7, you can't access the PC that doesn't have network shares. Is there no IT staff there? Is there old information (misinformation) about IP addresses don't mean access here?

McAfee mobile security showed a Mac address and asking me to disconnect like a WiFi connection in the past week it shows 202 attacks.

that doesn't mean...

...the employee is deliberately doing it. His phone may be set to try and connect automatically to the nearest strongest wifi signal and he may be completely unaware of it. Talk to him, tell him what's happening.

He actually laughs about it. I confirmed with 4 other people that it's him.

If a team member is being disruptive, they may have to be sent away.
