It's per PC...
I've been searching via CNET forums and Google, but found no answer to this.
I've noted from one of the closest matches of what I want to find in CNET forums that it is possible to assign portable drives like thumb/flash drives, external hard drives, and MP3 Players with drive letters permanently. But I wonder, can it be done permanently such that no other thumb drives can take the same drive letter?
As I've figured out for months, when you connect a portable drive into the computer, it'll be read as (for instance) E:/. But when you plug it in again with another portable drive connected, it'll be assigned to F:/ instead of E:/ (taken by the second portable drive).
If there's a way, can someone inform me? Thanks.
