Question machine account windows 10 machine account needs 10 has become the administrator on my PC. I downloaded software from a website called AVERY, it's to make cards, T-shirts, labels etc... After restarting my PC I can not run any programs because they are "Administrator Protected". There's no System Restore with my version of Windows 10. I tried uninstalling the software but it's administrator protected.. Is there a default password for machine account ? 14 hours straight trying to repair, need to sleep. Any ideas, I will try, thanks

Clarification Request
That's news to me.

Every known version of W10 had system restore. If you turn that off, you run the risk of having to factory reset.

With only the story given, it looks like you'll do a factory reset and restore your files from backup.

I usually clicked f8 for safe mode to get system restore

Can you tell me how to get to system restore please ? I've downloaded software and restore points have been created.... I'm just losing it, any help to get me to system restore and how to turn it on ?
Thank You !!!!!!!

I have no new ways to get to system restore. It's turned on by default and some antivirus suites break it but I only have your posts to work with.

That is, you claim your version of Windows 10 does not have System Restore but didn't share what this version is.

-> For example there is a cracked pirate version of Windows 10 that has no system restore. For those folk they know this and have to use Windows 10's reset methods to fix stuff.

In case you need to know this, read

try this below

Right-click the Start button.
Click Command Prompt (Admin).
Type net user administrator /active:yes and hit Enter on your keyboard. The line "The command completed successfully" should appear.

Machine Account Password

I have an ASP.NET machine account which prevents me loading some programs or making any changes.
how do i get rid of it?
It asks for a user name and password but there is only one box for a password which I don't know

This is new.

I've never run into any issue like this. If you tinker with system accounts you may likely have to factory reset the PC. In other words, don't change system items without a very good reasons and backup copies of the machine.
