Ashampoo WinOptimizer Platinum3 problems

I use WinOptimizer Platinum 3 and am unable to delete unnecessary files with it. I click on "Drive Cleaner",then on "Search for unnecessary files". I then click to delete them and an error box appears, saying "Error deleting file or folder" Another box then says the number of errors that have occurred.
Apart from not being able to delete unnecessary files, the rest of the program works fine. I also have WinOptimizer Platinum Suite 2 and that deletes the files O.K. but I can't see the point of keeping to similar programs on my computer.
I am using Windows XP Home.
I have tried several times to use Ashampoo support without any success, they either ignore my request or do not seem to understand the problem.
I would appreciate any help.
