LOL ...

... since my hair turned mousey I now dye it. Guess I'm not quite hip enough to call myself a colorist. But I am worth Loreal Wink

I could never see myself voting for a man who subjected himself to cosmetic procedures. No idea what he has had done, but there's no way this transformation was not assisted!

... just look at the man. He has has something done. Eyes just don't transform like that on their own. I should clarify, I have nothing against men who might enhance cosmetically, but the timing of this transformation is even more phony than Gore's alpha male in khakis trick.

I can honestly say I have no idea whose eyes you're talking about or what the 'transformation' might be that you feel is so significant.

I'm not surprised that we give different weights to a candidate's qualifications. At least you're self aware enough to realize the importance that surface attributes like appearance are highly important to you. I grant such things little importance.

Got it all backwards

Surface things mean very little to me. That is why phony attempts to remake one's image -- whether in appearance or in character -- for political purposes turns me off. It backfired on Gore because real women saw right through it and were rather insulted that image consultants would think such a blatant attempt to appeal superficially could be put over on them.

Kerry has long had an old-tired look with deep ingrained lines and puffy eyes. All gone now, and that is not just from the tan he appears to be sporting these days. It is an attempt to appear energetic and inspire some enthusiasm for his candidacy. It is so phony it is pathetic.

You spend a lot of time on things that you say mean 'very little' to you. -nt
