Artist and album listed as unknown when using a playlist

by indyv8a / February 24, 2006 1:43 AM PST

Hopefully someone here can be more help than Sandisk. I have the Sansa m260. When I download playlists from Windows Media Player in MPT mode, the player lists the artist and album as "unknown." I currently have the 2.2.1a firmware, and I am reluctant to update because my computer is old and it takes forever to load songs with USB 1. How do I get WMP to load the album/artist, or how do I get the player to "know" what WMP doesn't? Thanks.

unknow album unknown song

I had a bunch of mp3 in my computer, which had no album, artist or song information. Using WMP I was able to retrieve album, artist and song names and all this information is now in my WMP library. Two issues:

1. How do I get this information from WMP into the original folders where I had the mp3s stored before I searched for the info?

2. When I copy to my device (Sandisk m260) the player displays unknow artist, aunknown album, the only thing that gets transferred is the track number. I have installed the firmware update, I have made sure to check the appropriate boxes in WMP under "Tools" "Options" "Rip music" "File Name"

Please can somebody help me?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
