*.*.art files to normal .bmp or .jpeg

by Ammo Guy / October 28, 2008 8:22 PM PDT

It's a case of good news and bad news.
I found a disk with LOTS of .art extension pictures on it. I don't use AOL anymore. ack!
Is there a program that can batch convert .art to something else?
Oh yeah, I'm not rich. If possible is it shareware?

Thank you,

Re: converting art
by Kees Bakker / October 28, 2008 8:37 PM PDT

This is the kind of question I use to ask google (after I checked irfanview doesn't): http://www.google.nl/search?q=convert+art+jpg

The very first hit with me says Internet Explorer will open it, but I don't really believe that (.art isn't in the list of registered filetypes on my PC). But there seem to be many useful hits.

Don't you have a CD with AOL software you can reinstall without actually connecting to them?

I have not used this procedure, but you might find the information and steps here useful:

He also has some explanation as to what .ART is, and why. Very interesting.
