Are these spyware entries harmless?

Jan 1, 2006 12:02AM PST

Hi - I'm new to posting on this forum, so here goes...
I use McAfee for my antivirus /firewall software and Ad-Aware SE & Spybot for the spyware checking, but I recently had a problem with my PC. After sorting it, I ran a trial version of Max Secure spyware detector which reported that there were 5 entries that it said were spyware, which my other software appeared to ignore (called SideFind, ISTbar and Aurora).
Sidefind and ISTbar were either registry keys or values, whilst Aurora was a .exe file
Are these remnants of something that has already been cleared up by my other software and so I can ignore them..?
Appreciate any suggestions.

I never heard of that program so I checked Eric Howe's rogue list and that program is on there so you probably don't have those files on your computer. They are trying to get you to purchase their product. I would dump that program immediately. Click on the link and then scroll down to "Max".
