General discussion

are people going overboard here?

maybe it's just a reaction to my first "election year" in SE, and, as someone who has yet to decide what political 'label' he should wear, maybe it's not for me to say...

but! on a day to day basis, if someone calls you a republica/democrat/labour/liberal/conservative **************, surely it's the "**************" part that is insulting?

on the other hand, if someone calls you a fascist/nazi **************, you take the "**************" part as a compliment....

maybe i'm naive, but in my book, political labels are just that, "labels", but nazi (hitler?) and fascist (mussolini?), to quote John Wayne "thems fightin words mister"...

IMO, anybody who participates in the discussions here (no matter HOW heated they become) and thinks that nazi and fascist are "acceptable" should be 'put on a rail' and run out of town....

*wow, and i still have 98c left Wink*
