Yes&No
It does depend on how the ISP allows acceptance of a username, but usually they lock-out if two user names when the only difference is upper/lower case text entry. But, at the same time it may expect a "true" rendering of the username as it was orginally inputed by the orginating user. At the same time, if some laxness is allowed it will accept both upper/lower text if the whole text is like that(ie- bill123 -or- BILL123) If the orginating user did input; bILl123, its looking for that. In other words, whatever the ISP rules are, they have to be followed. It makes sense when common or popular handles are entered. -----Willy
minutes to about 60 members. From the last maiing I got some undeliverable. After investigation I noted that in each case the problem was corrected by changing AOL to aol. The names could be either upper or lower case, didn't matter.
I am just filling in and the ones with upper case AOL were new additions since the regular person sent out the prior mailings. I have no idea why they were in upper case. All of the others were in lower case.
