archos 605 no video out

Sep 29, 2007 5:18AM PDT

I recently upgraded my archos 402 to a 605 wifi and have found one of my favourite features the video out is not on it and I may have to buy the dvr station to do this my old player used to just play out throught the headphone jack to three rca's into my tv. do I need this station or am I missing something in my menu?

I loved the Gmini 402 (have the Camcorder version myself)
unfortunately Archos wanted a bit of profit on the video out
If you don't want the whole DVR Dock, both the Extended Battery Dock, and the cheaper Mini Dock can also do Video Out

Archos charges for the licences to those different plug ins, but it makes some money on them too. It's a clever way to make the base player look very cheap
Avi's and other files work because usually they can be run with like a xvid decoder which is free to use.
