archos 605 for anime questions

hello!
i am thinking about buying the archos 605 for watching anime.. can someone please answer a few questions:
1)can it play avi divx/xvid at resolutions of 640x480, and similar resolutions
2)will it be bad quality as its resolution is 800x480
3)will the h264 plugin for archos 605 enable it to play .mkv files? (eg claymore)
4)how is archos 605 generally for watching anime

which one is better to buy 4gb flash or 30gb hhd?
i read in some forums people saying the harddrive can fail anytime and is not reliable

any harddrive player has a risk of dieing, but I've only experienced it once on my mp3 players, an old Creative Zen Xtra, if you think 4GB with SDHC slot will be fine for you then get it. Although the 30GB version can be bought for $240 with the code mspace

and I don't know about quality of anime but anything upto DVD resolution will run fine
there is a H.264 plug in to go higher than DVD res. but I doubt it supports mkv

I know there are a lot of anime shows available streaming online
you should be able to play most of them through Opera so you might really not need the harddrive models

I was thinking to get Archos 605, but i have few to ask before getting it.
1)Can archos 605 converts video automatically on its own like creative zen?
2)It says that content portal can download and watch video, so do i still need to buy the web browsing?
3) Is WiFi easy connected to any any place or only at home? i wanted use it in school too.....
