Archos 605 DVR set up troubles

I just purchased the dvr station for my archos 605, I'm trying to get the TV Guide Program from the website after registering this product, but no matter what zip code I put in for a listing, it always gives me the same message "no lineups found for this zip code". I'm from new york city, so i don't see why there would'nt be a listing for a TV guide. I'm at about the point where I'm going to return this and get my money back , what is the point of recording if you can't choose what you want to record off a tv guide someone please help thanks!
