I know better than to rely on ARC. If you have a client that demands that ARC work, you don't take the job. It's that unreliable.
So if ARC fails you install the usual optical cable from TV to receiver for the times that is needed.
i have an lg tv LA8600 60 INCH, i tried for a week of evenings to hook up my x box, cd ,and medea player, to ARC HDMI , to a pioneer surround amp i bought second hand.
It did not work do I thought I was sold a dud, but after i rang the owner of the amp I purchased he said hook it up to another tv as it was A ok when he sold it. Well even though the tv was an old bunky aiwa from k mart it worked first try. so why do we pay 3k for a tv to have this happen. hdmi arc seems to be very tempermental. what do i try next? . any help welcome.
