richsgirl, According to the Microsoft DLL Database it indeed is a viable Windows file.

Winpatrol noted a new service on my computer tied
in with svchost.exe It is appmgmts.dll
It says it's an Application Management that provides
software installation services such as assign, publish, and remove. But, there is no name or
company given. It says it is located in my WINDOWS/System32 file. I have XP and all the necessary updated anti-virus, spybot SD/Adaware/Spysweeper etc. I've looked everywhere for info. on this. Does anyone know if it is a legitimate .dll file or a disguised trojan? Thanks.
