Feb 22, 2016 6:48PM PST

I just ran a Vulnerability Scan with my Security Software and it ID'd an Application Vulnerability. I have No Clue what it is or what to do if anything about it. Wondered if anyone can help me? The App was ID'd as:

Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSN32.dll

The Mac got hit big with one. I've noticed most of the fake flash installers always reference Flash but a true flash install will say Adobe Flash somewhere on the screen.

Yes, it's vulnerable. No sign it will ever be completely safe. That doesn't mean that everyone should freak out.

Make Sure You've Got The Latest Flash Player Update

Windows Updates should automatically update it for you, as long as you're frequently running those Windows Updates.

In addition, you didn't tell use WHICH "Security Software" you are running.. None of the software I've used will notify the user of an "Application Vulnerability". Let us know.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response. And the answer to your question about which Security Software I have that will alert on Application Vulnerabilities and numerous other threats is: Kaspersky Total Security.

Then It's Possible Kaspersky Is Telling You Of An Old Flash
Mar 10, 2016 4:13PM PST

There are a few security programs which notify you of an old version of a program, basically reminding you to update.. Then again, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, Kaspersky may just be telling you the Flash is vulnerable in general.

Hope this helps.
