Application that forces window-mode in games?

There are some classic computer games that I would love to play. The problem is that 640x480 resolution on my 19" display with 1280x1024 native resolution looks like such crap that I can't stand looking at it. Games such as the classic Commmand & Conquer as well as Red Alert would be much more enjoyable in a window. Does such a program exist?
