Question

application not found HELP :(

I accidently clicked on a pop up, and now all hell has broken lose on my
computer! For some reason I can open any application e.i. Microsoft word, excel
etc. It keeps saying application not found, and when I try and open things like
firefox it asks me to choose a programme to open it with! There is a solution
on these forums I can see however, the link to the fix doesn't seem to be
working any more: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name
changed, or is temporarily unavailable

apparently it has something to do with reg files (I'm not
very computer literate but I follow instructions well enough! Haha)

My operating system is Windows 7! Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

Answer
Link works with me.

Try it on another PC and download what you need to a USB-stick.

mmm

Umm the file is no longer available! on any computer you try
to download it from! When I go down to number 12 on the list and try and
download the EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP this pops up:

404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have
been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable

I might not be amazing on computers but that means the file no longer exists!
