Apple Won't Fix Problem

Apr 17, 2009 9:00PM PDT

My white mac book plastic case has developed cracks because of the lip. Since my mac book is out of one year warranty Apple says they will not fix a problem Apple causes !!!!

No more Apple Products 4me.

No PC, No Windows, now no Apple products. Looks like I'll be moving to my own Linux machine.

Any suggestions?

If you need longer warranties why not keep your stuff under warranty?

Also I hear some buy the plastics and change it themselves. Have people lost the fix it yourself gene?

Warranty

Yep, Apple offers 3-year warranties. It's paid off numerous times with my previous machine, which had it's motherboard (or logic board, as Apple calls it) die three times. For about $300 CDN, that's a darn good deal.

Known Problem

This is a known problem with the white (Intel NOT Power PC G4) notebooks, book an appointment with the Genius Bar at your local Apple store and they should sort it for you 1 year warranty or not.
