Question

Apple Software Updater not working

Apr 2, 2012 8:30PM PDT

Hi,

I'm using a iMac Intel 2 Core Duo 2.16GHz running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Apple Software Update program is not working at all recently. When the Software Updater alerts me that updates are ready to install, I follow the usual procedure, but none of the updates are performed. Next time I run the Software Installer all of the same updates are still there.

I've tried repairing permissions & using Disk Utility on my Snow Leopard installer to repair the disk, but this hasn't helped.

I searched on the net for solutions & found one on the Macfixit/CNET site that recommended trying the Apple Software Installer Update 1.0:

Below is the link for the update:

I downloaded the update but unfortunately this also didn't work.

Would really appreciate any suggestions or help.

Cheers, Vic.
