Apple Smacksdown Another App :-(

Jun 1, 2010 3:33AM PDT

Dear Buzz Gang and Crew,
Well it is that time of the season when the grand wizards of Apple puts the smackdown on approved apps in the App Store. This time it is an iPad app that turns your iPad into a picture frame. When Groundhog software got the notice and Was told that their app was being pulled, the Apple Rep basically said that it was due to the use of widgets in the app. Groundhog Software reps could not get a definitive answer from the Apple Rep as to terms of approval just that they liked the app and that they were sorry that it was bring yanked from the App Store.

Once again those people at Apple are putting down the little guy. Sad

Maybe it was banned because it duplicated functions?

A slippery slope...

....considering Apple let Opera in the app store and that basically duplicates Safari.

The default "Pictures" app is pretty barebones as well.
